My first experiences in secondlife, besides looking like a noob and one linden shopping was my visit to Hogwarts: New Beginnings or H:NB. It was located in the sim Liquid Heat and was my first roleplay experience, and by far, my favorite. The castle was amazing, by far one of the better builds I have been in. But what really was amazing was the quality of roleplay. I met some of my best SecondLife friends in this sim, and I followed them to different sims when this roleplay ended. I played a Ravenclaw named Cyn (who later transitioned to Slytherin when there was a sim switch). She was loud, abrasive, a duelist/drummer, and very gifted at DADA. I loved playing her and I miss playing her. It was my longest continuous stint in one Roleplay, so I often base my new characters in different places loosely on her. I have a whole biography typed out, which would be perfect for a later post. What really made me connect to her was the way people (or characters) connected to HER. She really seemed to be the epitome of 'likable' although I went out of my way to make her difficult and a little rough around the edges. I was upset when HNB closed, and although my transition to Hogwarts, United was a welcome one, I still miss the old sim of Liquid Heat - complete with its chugging Hogwarts Express and it's murky black lake.
The sim can be seen in one of my previous posted videos, 'HNB Trailer'
